Writing With Clarity, Conviction and Compassion

Communication as you know is key, irrespective of your career, or home business that you are in, your message and how you communicate your message is vital.
I receive many e-mail inquiries from people across the globe asking me specifically how I began doing what I am doing in my home business, AND I always have the same response for everyone I respond to-you must have CLARITY, COMPASSION AND CONVICTION in what you are doing.
It goes without saying, if you're going to do anything in life, what not give it all you have? The problem is that so many people are just existing, not living their lives to the fullest in what God would have you to do, that many are missing out on the more important aspects of life, such as relationships, or vacationing with your family, starting the home business you have always been dreaming about, or your education goals in life. All of these require, motivation, and goal planning to help you create your road map for success. However, you have to be able to write and articulate your message to your target audience. It doesn't matter whether you are writing a term paper for your professor or writing a sales letter for your sales team, there are certain elements in writing that you must be able to mater and understand.
CLARITY:
Your letter must be clear in its meaning and in purpose. If your business is in the travel business, and you as a travel agent are writing about new and upcoming travel promotions for the travel industry, be clear, and concise and organized about specifics and how these new promotions will benefit your customer base? If I am a traveling customer, why should I take action?
CONVICTION:
You should write your letter with conviction. It doesn't matter whether you are writing a quarterly report for your board of directors, or writing a new sales manual for your sales team-how you write your letter is just as important as the message of the letter itself. You need to understand and articulate why you are writing the letter in order to solicit the behavioral response from your letter which is your primary goal.
COMPASSION:
You should write your letter with personal compassion. People can read between the lines and can easily discern between the lines between words and the meaning behind the words which is paramount. People want to be inspired, and empowered to take action in a cause that they believe in. People do not want to be sold to or compelled to take action just because they received your letter telling them to do so. People want to be involved and to believe their thoughts, input and actions matter.
Make sure your letter resonates with your audience. People don't care how much you KNOW, until they KNOW just how much you CARE. Understanding and applying these words of wisdom is key-not just in business life but in your personal life as well.
